About the author

Cynthia Cui

I'm a designer and engineer — and a compulsive bookworm who thinks too much about how knowledge moves through systems.

My work lives between cultural analysis and production code. I ask hard questions about who gets included in digital spaces, then build things people can actually use: accessible web experiences, tools for researchers, platforms for communities that don't always get platforms.

Recently I built Kabo, a 3D spatial tool for Are.na. Before that: improving complex flows at Stardrift, creative direction for the Braided Solidarities symposium, and making higher ed research easier to navigate.

Also learning Japanese.
